Title:Recent Advances in Multilevel Converters; Topology, Control, and Applications

Biography:
Dong-Choon Lee received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1985, 1987, and 1993, respectively. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Korea, since 1994. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Power Electronics of the Korean Institute of Power Electronics (KIPE), from 2015 to 2017. In 2019, he served as the President of KIPE. Also, he served as General Chair, for ICPE 2023-ECCE Asia. Presently, he is an IEEE fellow and he is serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and the Taegu PELS Chapter Chair. His current research interests include power converter design and control, renewable energy and its grid connection, AC machine drives, and DC power system.
