About Chinese Visa

Enter to China
China is a very safe country for tourists and a very good place for convention and conference. Prospective attendees from most countries will be required to obtain a visa to enter the People's Republic of China. On the other hand, citizens of many countries are eligible to China's 240 hour transit visa-free policies. You can also choose the above methods to enter China.


IEEE PEAS 2025 Organizing Committee advises participants to make visa application at least one month ahead of time. Prospective attendees from most countries will be required to take passport with valid period of over half a year, completed visa application form (available at local Chinese Embassy) and photos to the Chinese Embassy Visa Office for visa application. Visa Invitation Letter
1. The invitation letter will be issued by IEEE PEAS 2025 Organizing Committee after the successful registration is finished. You can download your Visa Invitation Letter with the Visa Invitation Letter button in your user central.
2. Your name provided must be exactly the same as it appears on your passport. Any discrepancy between your name on your passport and on your invitation letter or other documentations could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa application.
3. Please note that IEEE PEAS 2025 Organizing Committee is not authorized to assist with your VISA application process beyond providing the Visa Invitation Letter issued by IEEE PEAS 2025 Organizing Committee. Should your application be denied, IEEE PEAS 2025 Organizing Committee cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, nor will IEEE PEAS 2025 Organizing Committee engage in any discussion or correspondence with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant.
4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as possible and ensure you have enough time to get your visa.


240-hour (10 days) transit visa-free policies
Foreign nationals from 54 countries are currently eligible for the 240-hour (10 days) transit visa-free policies which are effective at any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China. 
Please be noticed that the passport or other international travel document should be valid for more than 3 months.
